    +The keynote will start promptly in the Washington High School Auditorium at 8:00AM

    +Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early in order to sign in, and pick up your name tag

    +Be advised, that no food or drink is allowed in the auditorium

    +Refreshments and snacks will be available in between sessions

    +Lunch will be provided, and will run in two shifts (k-5 & 6-12)

    +Opposite your lunch shift will be an opportunity to participate in a round-table discussion with your peers

    +Please bring a charged device or laptop, so you are ready to learn and participate

    +Learning will be shared on Twitter throughout the day at #seiis17

    Keynote: Buddy Berry

    Superintendent - Eminence Independent Schools

    Buddy Berry has a passion for reinventing the K-12 school experience. His School on FIRE (Framework of Innovation for Reinventing Education) model is currently is seeing dramatic results. The School on FIRE is founded on Surprise and Delight, Next Generation Skills, Student Agency, and a Mastery Model of College and Career Readiness. He is the superintendent of Eminence Independent Schools in Eminence, Kentucky.

    Amber Bridge

    Grantwood AEA - Digital Learning Consultant

    Amber is a technology consultant and certified teacher with 10 years of classroom experience as a middle school science teacher. She believes technology should seamlessly blend into the learning environment in a way that enhances classroom relationships. Amber is a Google Certified Educator Level 1 as well as an advocate for flipped learning. Amber also believes makerspaces offer students unique learning and problem solving opportunities to help empower and engage students. Amber is a co-host of a YouTube Makerspace Challenge show for schools called Think, Make, Innovate.     Beth Swantz

    Grantwood AEA - Digital Learning Consultant

    Beth Swantz is a certified elementary teacher and Teacher Librarian. She has 25+ years of teaching experience in a variety positions including a 4th grade teacher, Secondary Teacher Librarian and a K-12 Learning Design Coach. Beth is passionate about the intersection of technology and learning for both students and staff.     Mindy Cairney

    Grantwood AEA - Digital Learning Consultant

    AMindy Cairney is a certified elementary teacher with 13 years of classroom experience. She has taught in grades kindergarten through second grade during this time. Technology has catapulted teaching into a new dimension of thinking and learning. Mindy is passionate about helping teachers use technology to enhance the instruction of the 21st century learner. She specializes in early elementary technology and digital storytelling, with a special love for QR codes. Mindy lives in Cedar Rapids with her husband Steve and two kids: Tate and Annabel.
